How much does CanvasKB cost?
CanvasKB costs from $125 a month. There are five tiers, set by the number of users: Tier 1 (1–25 users) is $125 a month, Tier 2 (26–75 users) is $360, Tier 3 (76–150 users) is $675 and Tier 4 (151–200 users) is $850. Tier 5, for more than 200 users, is $4 per user per month. Prices are in US dollars.
How much does CanvasKB cost per user?
When a tier is full, CanvasKB works out at $5.00 per user a month on Tier 1, $4.80 on Tier 2, $4.50 on Tier 3 and $4.25 on Tier 4. Above 200 users, Tier 5 is $4 per user a month. Because Tiers 1 to 4 are flat fees, a team with fewer users than the tier's limit pays the same monthly price.
Do we pay for each user, or a flat fee?
For Tiers 1 to 4, a flat fee. Each tier covers a range of users for one fixed monthly price, so you don't count seats and the bill doesn't change from month to month. For example, a team of 40 people is on Tier 2 and pays $360 a month. Above 200 users, Tier 5 is $4 per user per month.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You can try CanvasKB free for 30 days on Tier 1, which covers up to 25 users. Sign up at app.canvaskb.com/signup.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. Prepay for one year and save 10%, for two years and save 15%, or for three years and save 20%. On Tier 1, that is $1,350 for one year, $2,550 for two years or $3,600 for three years, instead of $1,500, $3,000 or $4,500 paid monthly. The same discounts apply to Tier 5.
What is included in every CanvasKB plan?
Every CanvasKB tier is fully hosted on Microsoft Azure, with nothing to install or maintain. It includes every CanvasKB feature: source-cited answers, review requests, knowledge areas and permissions, version history, and assignments with read confirmation. Bring your knowledge in with SharePoint, Google Drive and OneDrive sync, web links and document upload. Tiers differ in how many users they cover and the support that comes with them.
Are there usage limits?
Yes. Alongside seats, each CanvasKB workspace has limits for documents, storage and monthly AI tokens. The workspace Owner sees all of them live on the Plan & Usage tab, and the AI token allowance resets on the first of every month.
What happens when our team grows past our plan?
You move up to the next tier. For example, when a Tier 2 team adds its 76th user, it moves to Tier 3. The unused days on your current tier are credited toward the new one, so you only pay the difference.
Can we move down to a smaller plan?
Not during a term. CanvasKB tiers only move up, from Tier 1 to Tier 5. Prepaid plans can be cancelled within 72 hours of purchase; after that, they run for the full term.
What support comes with each plan?
Tier 1 includes email and a docs portal, with a response target of 2–3 business days. Tier 2 adds web ticketing, with a 1–2 business day target. Tiers 3 and 4 get priority ticketing and a 1 business day target. Tier 5 gets priority ticketing and email. Support runs Monday to Friday.
How does pricing work for more than 200 users?
Simple: $4 per user per month. Multiply $4 by the number of people who will use CanvasKB, and prepay to save 10%, 15% or 20% for one, two or three years. For example, 300 users cost $1,200 a month.
Do we need to install or host anything?
No. CanvasKB is fully hosted by CanvasKB on Microsoft Azure. There is nothing to install, no servers to run and no updates to manage. Your team signs in from a web browser.
